Graduated from the Master's Course in Ceramics in the field of design at the University of Tsukuba in 2010.
Major exhibitions include: solo exhibition ‘Whereabouts - where I am’ in Tsukuba in 2020; Duo show ‘Do you see it?’ with Reiko Kinoshita at AIFA, Switzerland (2023); ‘Grottaglie International Ceramic Competition’ in Italy and “Aveiro Ceramic Biennale” in Portugal. Honorable Mention Prize at both competitions.

　Yasui says that from her childhood to the present, ‘by drawing or making something, I always feel as if I am chasing after something that is hidden in the path of my sensory tentacles’. As the title of the solo exhibition ‘Whereabouts’ shows, Yasui has been searching for a ‘place’ inside and outside herself. Through an intuitive dialogue with materials, Yasui's approach to production, which is rooted in the truth of the world and her own feelings before they are verbalised, captures the aspect of ‘whereabouts’. The materials and physical sensations that come into contact with the hand correlate with each other to form a new form of ‘path’ (logic) for both parties.
