Werk Magazine No.29: THE SHOPHOUSE with YOSHIROTTEN

For the 29th edition of WERK Magazine, we team up with creative space, THE SHOPHOUSE, in Hong Kong. WERK No.29 features YOSHIROTTEN’s art of reworking artists’ images. This edition consists of Yoshirotten’s solo works, collaborative works with Hong Kong photographer Wing Shya, and the reworking of Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama’s “NEW SHINJUKU” series. An extemporization in book design. The motivation is to express YOSHIROTTEN’s reworking of artists’ images in a combination of industrial and handmade physical manifestations. The choice of materials and processes is industrial. Intense inking, set-offs, and strikethroughs are applied in varying measures as a visual expression.
