This issue is the first published collection of works from Takuro Tamayama's early 2012-2015 exhibition to the latest work announced at LA Nonaka-Hill in 2019. Tamayama creates dreamy compositions in installations and video works, using vividly colored walls, lighting, furniture, and daily necessities. Recently, in his works, he uses not only easy to expect elements of installations - visuals but also shadows, feeling of gravity created by suspended from the ceiling objects, video noise and moire, woven patterns arranged randomly in layers, all of this creates and invites to an invisible, ocean-like area in the exhibition space. We try to contain his unique power and rhythm which he brings to the exhibition space. Inside, you can find a unique catalog of his works in chronological order, created by Takuya Nakao, an art critic. At the time of publication, the solo exhibition “The Sun, Folded.” was announced and took place from November 22nd to December 11th, at the gallery “OIL by Bijutsutecho” on the second floor of reopened SHIBUYA PARCO.
