This sculptural work is made up of a massive block of timber, that has been sculpted into an abstract form. The sculpted form is then carved to create trenches within the surface of the work. Following this process, graphite is rubbed into the crevices of these trenches. This sculpture calls forth of an imagined scenary that overlooks a serene sea from a cliff. This visual association is induced by the stretched out left and right composition of the work and its low centre of gravity. The top exterior of the work is carved with systematically arranged delicate grooves that vary in length as they run along gentle slopes. On the work's underside, carved lines that mimic the sway of seawater surfaces are intersected by an embedded lead wire.
