KATSUYA KAMO
Born in Fukuoka in 1965, Kamo was a visionary hair and makeup artist whose work bridged fashion, art, and performance. After returning to Japan in 1992, he became a defining creative force in the fashion industry, collaborating with JUNYA WATANABE and UNDERCOVER, and later contributing to campaigns and shows for brands such as FENDI, CHANEL, KENZO, and Mame Kurogouchi. His artistry was featured in leading publications including Vogue, The New York Times Magazine, and Wallpaper and earned him the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix in 2003. Through his independent office, KAMO HEAD, founded in 2015, he continued to shape global fashion aesthetics until his passing in 2020.
