Moved to France in 1990.
After returning to Japan in 1992, Kamo appeared frequently in a wide range of fashion magazines, advertisements, and fashion shows.Kamo collaborated with JUNYA WATANABE from 1996 and UNDERCOVER from 1997,providing hair and makeup for their collections.
In 2003, he won the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix.
In 2005, he began working overseas in earnest, as featured in prominent publications including Vogue (U.S./Italy/Paris/Japan), The New York Times Magazine, and Wallpaper* Magazine.
From 2008, he worked on fashion shows for FENDI, CHANEL, Haider Ackermann and KIKO KOSTADINOV, as well as providing campaign visuals for KENZO and Mame Kurogouchi.
In 2015, Kamo launched his own independent office KAMO HEAD and remained an active presence on the global stage from Tokyo to New York and Paris.
Kamo passed away in February 2020 at age 54.
