Mayumi Yamase

東京生まれ。幼少期をアメリカで過ごし、高校卒業後に渡英。ロンドン芸術大学、チェルシー・カレッジ・オブ・アーツ＆デザインにてファインアートを学び、現在は東京を拠点に活動する。抽象的なペインティングやソフトスカルプチャーを中心に、相対するリアリティとファンタジーをテーマに制作している。

国内外で精力的に作品を発表し、近年では「The elephant in the room』（Lurf MUSEUM、東京、2022年）、「Moving Parts: an assortment of recent artworks」（Ace Hotel Kyoto、京都、2023年）、「引力と斥力- Attraction and Repulsion] (i Gallery. ABe. 2024 #). [What's beyond blue J (GINZASIX、東京、2025年）、「Immersed in Colors」（The Fridge、ニューヨーク、2026年）などの個展を開催している。

また、COMME des GARCONSやBEAMS Tへのアートワーク提供をはじめ、2021年にはNIKEとのコラボレーションによるAir Force 1と Blazer Lowを発表。2026年にはagnes b. enfantとのコラボレーションコレクションを手がけるなど、ファッションやプロダクトの領域にも活動を広げている
