1979年生まれの彫刻家。これまで増井は、陶器による彫刻の手法を用いながら、日常に根ざしたモチーフやユーモアを作品化し、現代における彫刻の原初的表現を追求してきた。
縄文土器を組み合わせて制作された新作「happying」シリーズは、幼少期の土遊びや縄文土器を目にした体験が起点となっており、その彫刻は、どこか懐かしく、穏やかな雰囲気を持っています。
