One day, I remembered that there was a telescope stored in the storeroom of my family house. Pulling the telescope out from its 20 years of slumber, I turned its lens to the moon without much thought. The result of this action’s repetition led me to a discovery — seen through a telescopic lens, the moon resembled an embryo in an echograph. After I had photographed the moon and printed it on thermal paper, a medium used in echography, I couldn’t help but feel that the moon and embryo were mutually responding to each other. This relationship is somehow so incomprehensible to us, modern day people. It was an experience that seemed to touch the pre-scientific and unscientific mind.
