A: “Calligraphic Portrait Airmail.”
This art book is a collection of pixel calligraphic portraits of ten_do_ten's favourite 'idols', presented at the 'Calligraphic Portraits Air Mail' exhibition, where portraits of 'idols' were sent to 'idols' in giant envelopes wilfully. These portraits were produced using 'calligraphy', 'drawing', 'painting', ‘words’ and Japanese 'family crests’.
ten_do_ten has been exploring pixel art as 'calligraphy' since the start of his professional activities. ten_dot_ten has honed this art form over the recent years but this series certainly advanced it even further. A wide variety of pixel art has arisen since the birth of NFT, but it is pixel art in paper format that allows viewers to see the unique expression of this art form. That is why this art book collection is such a valuable piece of work.
This art book will be released and sold starting from 2023/10/27 at ten’s exhibition [CHARAGAMY], held at [MANUAL+PREFAB presents "PLATFORM”], Ikejiri-Ohashi.
